I'm really worried about my friend who's been dealing with cough syncope. Initially, he was told to take Sercef CV 500 with Cefuroxime and Clavulanic Acid for six days, but that didn't help. Then a pulmonologist switched him to Azee 500 Azithromycin and Allegra 120, and it's been three days on those meds without any change. His chest X-ray and blood work are all okay, which is kind of confusing. He's been coughing for about 20 days now, and it's scary because he fainted three times today and hurt himself. An ENT he saw in the beginning gave him steroids but that also didnt work. We're really concerned, and Im just wondering what other options there might be to help him out?

View allI've been in the hospital for pneumonia and all my blood tests came back normal except for the ESR, which is a bit high. I saw my sputum test results on the doctor's phone, and it mentioned something about Haemophilus influenzae, which I looked up and found it's a type of bacteria causing pneumonia. They've got me on Taximax 1500, Pulmoclear, Zipod CV 200, Linowin, and some Mucolytic syrup called Ambrolite. I used to have a low-grade fever thats been gone for about 34 days now, but Im still dealing with this dry cough that just wont quit and gets worse a lot. Its been six days since treatment started, and Im still in the hospital. How much longer do you think it'll take for me to recover with the treatment Im on currently?

I'm just a bit concerned about some lingering symptoms after recovering from COVID-19. I spent 9 days in the hospital and was discharged once my symptoms eased up. My CT chest report mentioned 5 to 10 viral pneumonia with no fibrosis, and they said it was corad 5. Bloodwork was all normal. It's been 30 days now, but I still have a mild dry cough, tightness in my chest, and occasional nausea that comes and goes. Is this something to worry about, or is it a normal part of the recovery process? Also, is the 5 to 10 viral pneumonia significant, or nothing too serious?
