I've been dealing with this cough for 23 days now, and it's getting really frustrating. I'm coughing up this greenish-yellow mucus, and every single time I cough, I can't breathe and start gagging. On top of that, my nose is super congested, my tonsils are all inflamed, and I've got this really terrible ear pain. What could be going on here? Should I be concerned about this combination of symptoms?

View allMy doctor says I need tonsil surgery but I'm really hesitant because I've heard there can be long-term side effects Are there any other treatment options I could try instead of going straight to surgery
This condition may require clinical evaluation to determine the exact cause and treatment. Some cases can be managed conservatively, while others may need surgical intervention depending on size, symptoms, and severity. Regular follow-up is important to monitor progress.

I'm dealing with something really concerning and would love some advice. Whenever I get super stressed, like genuinely overwhelmed to the point of crying, my throat and tonsils start swelling up. It's like I'm right on the brink of an infection, and within a few days, I'm usually stuck going to the hospital for antibiotics. It just becomes so difficult to breathe, and the swelling never seems to subside, no matter how much I try to rest. It really feels almost exactly like strep throat, but it only happens after really stressful or traumatic events. What can I do to prevent this from happening?
Tonsils do not get increased in size usually because of stress. As per ur description of ur condition in your age is because of chronic tonsilitis. A short course of antibiotics will help the acute exacerbation, but Tonsillectomy would be the final answer to end this repeated infections.

I keep sneezing and getting a cold every morning no matter what I try - I've done alopathy, homeopathy, and ayurvedic treatments but nothing helps. One doctor mentioned I might have extra nose bone growth needing surgery, but said there's only a 50% chance it'll work. What do you think about this diagnosis and treatment option?
i feel that you have allergic rhinitis. You can start with a steroid nasal spray twice daily. If no relief, consult another ENT surgeon and get evaluated whether surgery will help or not. But allergy per se may not go away with surgery. You will need spray and avoidance of allergens.
