I've been smoke-free for 21 days now after having smoked for 6 years. I was having some breathing issues and getting out of breath, which pushed me to finally quit for good. I'm curious, how does my condition sound to you? And how long do you think it'll take for my lungs to heal?

I've been having some mucus in my respiratory tract, and it's a bit weird because there's no cough or fever. But every morning, I notice this sound when I'm breathing in, and it's really uncomfortable. I'm wondering what might be causing this and if there's something I should be doing about it?

Please get your pulmonary function test done and also Chest xray. See a Pulmonologist in your area.

My dad's been in the hospital for a month because of covid, and 20 of those days were in the ICU with ventilator NIV support. After he got diagnosed with covid-19, he's also dealing with pulmonary fibrosis. The CT scan says it's a follow-up case of covid-19 pneumonia with severe changes, and mentions things like ground glass attenuation, septal thickening, traction bronchiectasis, and bronchiolectasis in his lungs. There's also some emphysematous changes in his right upper lobe and mild elevation of the right diaphragm dome. The liver and spleen look normal, but there's a small cyst in his liver's left lobe. I'm really worried is this something that can get better?

I'm having this really bothersome dry cough, and it seems to get worse when I'm under a ceiling fan or in an air-conditioned room. I don't notice it as much when the room temperature is normal though. Also, the mucus I cough up is white. Could it be something to do with excess heat in my body? I'm worried and would love any suggestions on what kind of medicines might help with this.

allegra m at night for one week and try to avoid irritants causing discomfort
