My dad has really bad arthritis and his right knee joint is out of place. The pain is severe in almost all his joints. Doctors are recommending knee replacement surgery based on his X-ray report. What do you suggest we do?

I'm starting to get some pain in my left knee whenever I walk about half a kilometer. I had a screw put in there at your hospital 7 years ago. I'm really curious if I should be looking into getting the screw removed or if it's okay to continue living with it. What's the best way to go about this?
