my wife has a 6mm kidney stone in the mid pole of her left kidney can it be dissolved naturally or does she need surgery
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
A 6mm kidney stone in the mid-pole of the left kidney is unlikely to pass naturally and often requires medical intervention. While it's possible to pass a stone of this size on its own, the likelihood is significantly lower compared to smaller stones. Surgery might be recommended if the stone is causing severe pain, infection, or a blockage

My ultrasound report shows a 6mm calculus in the right lower ureter, about 1 cm from the UVJ. Do I really need laparoscopic surgery for this or are there other options? I'm a bit worried about the procedure and wondering if it's absolutely necessary.
A 6mm ureteric stone close to UVJ usually passes with meds—surgery is for pain, infection, or if not passed in 2–4 weeks.

I've been dealing with this issue for the third time in just over a month, and I'm getting really concerned. I'm having this pain in my testicles and also near the penis area. It's starting to worry me, and I'm wondering what's going on. Can you help me understand what this might be and how I can get some relief?
The recurring pain in your testicles and penis area may be caused by epididymitis, orchitis, or a urinary tract infection; it's essential to consult a urologist
