I am experiencing frequent mood fluctuations and get anxious easily. Recently, I have gained a lot of weight despite no changes in my food habits, and my thyroid test is normal. I often feel very sad, have no enthusiasm for anything, and feel like giving up easily. My sleeping patterns have changed drastically, I either sleep too much or very little. What could be causing this, and what should I do?

Sudden mood swings and weight gain with normal thyroid could be hormonal. Test for Vitamin D, B12, cortisol. Consider mental health support.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a 25-HYDROXY VITAMIN D (D2+D3) Test or Take a VITAMIN B12 Test

Hi Doctor, for the past one week, I have been experiencing pain in my lower back, especially in the mornings. The pain tends to improve as the day progresses. I had a similar issue a few years ago, and at that time, my doctor said it was due to a lack of calcium and vitamin D, which was confirmed by my blood test. I want to know if this could be the same problem again, and what should I take to get relief from this morning back pain?
