I have been experiencing throat pain and irritation for the past few months. The pain is not constant but occurs suddenly, and there is no pain while swallowing. In the last 2 to 3 months, I have also noticed an urge to take deep breaths more often and occasional shortness of breath. This does not occur at night while sleeping, but starts during daily activities after waking up. I consulted a family doctor, who advised blood tests. The results show an IgE level of 740 and vitamin D3 deficiency at 15.55. The rest of the CBC results are normal. Kindly suggest what should be done?

Elevated IgE suggests allergy. Low Vit D3 can cause fatigue. Start Vitamin D supplements and consult an ENT/allergist for allergy management. Avoid allergens if known.
Dr. Hema Suggests...
Take a IgE Test Test or Take a Vitamin D Test Test

Should I continue taking Vitamin D3 60,000 IU or stop now? Also, my current Vitamin B12 level is 494. Should I continue the B12 tablets or stop them?

My vitamin D level is 15 (low). The doctor advised me to take vitamin D weekly for 8 weeks and then monthly once, but did not mention for how many months I should continue. How long should I take the monthly doses? Also, does vitamin D help with chest or rib pain?
