It's been 80 days since my tibia surgery where they used plates and nails for both legs. The swelling has gone down but I'm still unsure can I start walking now or do I need to wait longer? I'm worried about putting weight on them too soon.

You should walk now. Continue active non weight bearing mobilisation of knee, ankle and hip. Start with partial weight bearing with walker. Then progress to full weight bearing. Pain relief will be important. Please get the latest xray to see bony union which will decide the weight bearing on the limbs

View allCan extraarticular ligaments like the MPFL and MCL actually heal on their own if they're partially torn or do they always need surgery to get back to normal I'm worried because I heard mixed things about blood flow in these ligaments affecting healing
Partial tears may heal with rest and physio; surgery is needed if instability or chronic pain persists.

I had ACL reconstruction surgery with a hamstring autograft and my femoral side was fixed using an endobutton. Are there any potential side effects from the metal in the endobutton, and can it be removed later if needed?
ortho opinion is advised to the patient.

I've been dealing with this recurring pain for years and seen multiple doctors but no one has been able to fix it properly. Every 3-4 months I get these horrible flare-ups where I can't move at all due to severe pain in my right hip, lower back, and what feels like nerve compression making me want to cut my leg off. Painkillers are the only thing that helps me function. I'm considering surgery but worried if it'll actually give me permanent relief or not
MRI is advised, post share the report.
