- I have been following a healthy diet and exercising regularly, and I have successfully lost around 8 kg. I avoid sugar, use minimal olive oil, and include green vegetables and other healthy foods in my diet. Previously, I had fatty liver, but the related values have now returned to normal. However, despite my efforts, some values in my recent reports, specifically HDL, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol are not improving. I am 28 years old, 5.6 inch tall, and currently weigh 68 kg. I have attached my reports. Could you please help me understand why these values are not coming down and if there is anything else I should be doing?
- I missed my period last month, my last period was on 27th April. I have not had intercourse, nor was there any ejaculation. My partner penis touched my vagina through clothes, and he also fingered me, but he washed his hands with shampoo and water before doing so. My cycle is 35 days. I took a beta HCG test on 1st June, which was 0.10. My doctor prescribed Crina NCR 10, which I last took on Saturday. I still have not had my period. The doctor also suggested Hb, thyroid, prolactin tests, and a pelvic ultrasound. My results are:
Prolactin: 90
Thyroid: 3
Hb: 8.2
Pelvic USG: right ovary adherent to uterine wall, multiple peripheral follicles in ovary, endometrium thickness 14.2 mm
Can I be pregnant? After taking Crina last Saturday, my period has still not started. Please help me understand what these reports suggest.
- I recently had a complete haemogram done, and the results showed that my haemoglobin, total RBC, total WBC, lymphocytes, POV, platelet count, MCV, and MCH are all highly imbalanced, with some values being either too high or too low. Currently, I am not experiencing any major physical problems except for hair fall. I want to understand why my blood report is showing such imbalances and what steps I should take.
- I am experiencing severe hair fall. It first started with itching and hair loss, so I consulted a doctor. She prescribed Allegra, Momate lotion, Scaboma lotion, and a tablet called Bandy Plus. She also advised me to do some tests, including Vitamin B12, Ferritin, Vitamin D, Thyroid, and CBC. My reports came back normal, and while the itching has stopped, the hair fall continues. I am not sure what is causing this. What should I do next? I am attaching my CBC report for your review.
- I am 49 years old and recently underwent a health check up. My report shows that my iron is 222, transferrin saturation is 53.89 percent, total cholesterol is 209 mg/dl, LDL is 133 mg/dl, and eGFR is 85. My eosinophils are 10.5 percent, MCV is 112.6, MCH is 32.8, MCHC is 29.1, RDW SD is 63.7, and RDW CV is 15.1. Could you please review these values and let me know if anything is abnormal? Also, which type of doctor should I consult in Chennai for further evaluation?
- I did a COVID test on 18th April. The doctor initially said I was positive, so I quarantined myself, but later the report came back negative. When I tested again after a week, it was still negative, although I had symptoms. I experienced fever of 99 to 99.8F, body aches, loss of smell, and a low heart rate of 53 per minute. Now, 15 days after testing negative, I am feeling extreme weakness and cannot stand or walk for more than 5 to 10 minutes. I also have body aches, and if there is any delay in eating, I feel pain and cannot sit straight. Additionally, I feel a sensation in both ears, possibly related to prolonged coughing. Kindly suggest what could be causing these symptoms and what I should do next.
- My hemogram test report shows hemoglobin 13.4 gm/l, packed cell volume 43 percent, WBC count 6.52 ten thousand per cubic millimeter, platelet count 339 ten thousand per cubic millimeter, RBC count 5.3 million/microliter, MCV 80 fl, MCH 25 pg, MCHC 31 g/dl, RDW 14.9 percent, ESR 6 mm/hr, neutrophils 44 percent, lymphocytes 41 percent, eosinophils 8 percent, and monocytes 7 percent. Am I having anemia? If yes, what degree of anemia do I have? Is it high or low?
- Hello Doctor, for the past three days, I have been experiencing nausea (especially when standing), numbness throughout my body, a constant cold feeling in my feet, excessive sleepiness (I sleep around 18 hours a day), a dry throat, and loss of appetite due to food tasting different. On the first day of these symptoms, I visited a doctor who gave me an injection and advised me to get a blood test, which I have attached here. He also mentioned that my blood pressure has been consistently low, around 70, for two consecutive days. I am feeling very uneasy and worried.
- My son had a fever (100F) which subsided in 2 to 3 days. After 4 days, he developed red rashes all over his body. On the doctor advice, we got a CBC test along with IgM and IgG tests, IgM was positive. Within 3 days, the rashes disappeared. The CBC report showed some variations (low PCV, MCV, neutrophils), though platelets were near normal. The doctor advised hydration and close monitoring, mentioning it is a mild infection that can become severe.
He has been active and playing normally. After 2 days, repeat CBC showed hemoglobin and PCV were increasing. After another 3 days, hemoglobin was higher, PCV remained high, and IgM was still positive.
We are worried about these rising trends, though he remains active. Should we hospitalize him or continue care at home?
- My father is 69 years old and is recovering from a post pneumonia lung infection. He has high blood pressure and diabetes, for which he takes daily medication. We did a blood test, and the report shows, platelets is 5.20 lacs, haemoglobin is 10.8, Serum SGOT is 99.33, Serum SGPT is 57.40, and D Dimer Quantification is 2544.47. What other tests should be done? Is this condition dangerous as the D Dimer is very high along with elevated platelets, SGOT, and SGPT? Last month, his platelets were 2.72 lacs.
- I have been having repeated CBC tests over the past 9 months. My WBC count has consistently been between 12,500 to 14,000 and platelets between 100,000 to 150,000, but on two occasions when I had a peripheral blood smear, the report was normal. Tests for HCV, HBsAg, RBC, HIV, Dengue, VDRL, MP, and Vidal were all normal. I do not have any significant symptoms. Could you please advise what I should do going forward? Can I consider myself healthy, or is there a need for further investigation?
- Hi, I am 5 months pregnant with my first baby. In my recent blood test, my platelet count has risen to 700,000, and my WBC is 11,200, which seems high. My doctor has advised me to do PT, APTT, INR, and Hb electrophoresis and to consult a hematologist. This is the first time my platelet count has been elevated, my last report was completely normal. Could this change be related to pregnancy? I am unsure how to proceed and would like guidance, as all my other reports are normal.
- Hi, my son is 3 years old and weighs 15 kg. He had no problems at birth. Last month, he was having wheezing sounds in his chest, and the doctor prescribed an inhaler for 14 days. Now he is fine. Today, his blood report shows mild eosinophilia with an absolute eosinophil count of 584, eosinophils 8 percent, monocytes 9 percent, lymphocytes 51 percent, absolute lymphocyte count 3723, platelets adequate, and the remaining values, including IgE, are normal. We stopped the inhaler today as per the doctors prescription. I want to know what mild eosinophilia means, what the treatment is, and whether we should stop or continue the medicine since he currently has no cough or cold?
- I had cold, cough, and fever two weeks ago. I consulted a doctor who prescribed antibiotics (Amoxicillin 625 mg), Paracetamol 500 mg, and Ascoril cough syrup. After a week, the cold and cough continued with a runny nose, so he gave me some cold tablets for two days, which helped temporarily. Now, I am again experiencing severe cold, cough, chills, and a temperature of 97 to 99F since yesterday. Today, I consulted the doctor again, and he recommended some blood and urine tests. I have attached the reports. He is asking me to take IV therapy daily for four days along with more antibiotics. I shared my medical history, and he suggested getting a second opinion from you regarding this treatment. Should I continue treatment with him, or should I go to a bigger hospital? Please advise.

- I started feeling unwell with body aches and a temperature of 100F. I took paracetamol, and my temperature returned to normal, but then I developed a cough and mild sore throat. In the morning, I felt cold and my temperature rose to 102F. I took paracetamol again, which brought it down, but the fever returned by 11 am. I consulted a physician and have attached his prescription and test report. After taking the prescribed medicines, I felt better, but I still feel very weak. Last night, I experienced restlessness, excessive sweating, and a rapid heartbeat for a few minutes. I am unsure what happened.
- I have been diagnosed with a low fever, less than 99.6, for the past two months. After blood tests, results indicated low hemoglobin, low MCV, MCH, and MCHC, and high RDW. I have attached liver profile test, urine analysis, thyroid, and CBC reports. I was prescribed Livogen, calcium, and magnesium tablets. After three days of taking these tablets, my fever spiked to 100. I am eating better and feel better overall, except for the fever. I do not have fatigue.
- Last year I had dengue, and again 3 months ago, I contracted dengue. To monitor my health, I usually get a CBC done every 30 to 45 days, and I have noticed that my lymphocyte count is gradually increasing, initially it was 20.6 percent, then 36 percent, and now it is 48 percent, which is worrying me. My current symptoms include numbness and cramps in the hands, occasional pain in the armpits, and ear pain. I also go to the bathroom 2 to 3 times a day, usually after breakfast or lunch. Please guide me on whether this is serious, the further steps I should take, and if possible, suggest a diet to maintain healthy lymphocyte levels. I am attaching my CBC lab reports for your reference.
- My wife is experiencing headache, body pain, lower abdominal pain, nausea, and loss of appetite. Two months ago, she had low platelets and typhoid, but was treated and diagnosed at that time. Now she is having similar problems again. Recently, her hematology tests were done, including CRP, ESR, CBC, and routine urine examination. I have attached the test reports for your reference. Please advise on the next steps.
- Hi madam, my son Virat regularly has cold and other related problems like itchy nose, rubbing eyes, and itching in fold areas such as under the neck, under the penis, behind the knees, and itchy scalp, especially when oil is applied. I have been using homeopathy medicines from Homeo Mall near my home, but there is no result. Recently, I visited Rainbow Hospital and they have given a few medications. If I do not give them even for one day, the itching increases. I have consulted many allopathic doctors, but there is no result. I have his blood test report from 9 months back, which shows eosinophils count is high.

My right ovarian cyst is 1 cm and my left ovarian cyst is 3.5 cm. For panic anxiety, my doctor gave me some blood tests and prescribed Rexipro 5 mg. After taking this medication, I no longer have anxiety problems and I feel almost normal. My test reports are as follows: T3: 0.97 ng/mL (0.58 to 1.59), T4: 7.34 mg/dL (4.87 to 11.72), TSH: 1.68 IU/mL (0.35 to 4.94), Glucose Fasting Plasma: 89 mg/dL (74 to 109), Urea: 13 mg/dL (17 to 43), Creatinine: 0.59 mg/dL (<0.95). My blood test results are: Hemoglobin is 10.10, TLC is 19200, Polymorphs is 83, Lymphocytes is 15, Monocytes is 01. The rest, including eosinophils, basophils, RBC count, platelet count, and ESR, are within the reference range. Could you please suggest what this indicates and what I should do?
- Hello Doctor, my mother ultrasonography result showed a 3.7 cm cyst on the left ovary. The doctor prescribed Cystelia 35 for six months continuously. During the first month, she had side effects of abdominal pain, bloating, and excessive sleep each day. We reported this to the doctor, who gave only an iron tablet and said if we were worried, we could do a cancer blood test. Today, in the second month of taking Cystelia 35, my mother suddenly noticed red, raised, painful blisters that are spreading and very painful after itching. Doctor, please help. Could this be a side effect of Cystelia 35? My mother is in a lot of pain from the blisters. Please advise urgently.
