- Hey, so I've noticed over the past 56 days that the skin on my testicle sack is getting dry and scaly. When I'm bathing, a thin scaly layer peels off. I've always been good with hygiene, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Today it started itching, and when I rubbed it gently, it felt like a burning sensation, kind of like a paper cut. After cleaning it in the shower, the whole area turned red. I've tried using creams like itch guard, dermigo5, and luliconazole which I got from the medical store, but nothing seems to be helping. I felt a bit embarrassed to go to the doctor in person. I'm just worried about what's going on. Do you know what this could be and should I see a dermatologist or a sexologist about it?
- I've got this boil near my groin, right over the left thigh, and it's been bothering me for about 56 days now. A couple of days ago, I noticed it turned into this red and soft spot, about 0.3 by 0.3 cm in size, surrounded by a hard area measuring 4 by 2 cm. It really started to hurt a couple of days back, so I consulted a surgeon. He suggested I take cefixime and diclofenac tablets, along with using SU MAG ointment for dressing.
The next day, I applied a good amount of SU MAG and dressed the boil, and by the end of the day, the pain was gone. But now, the boil has an opening. I'm a bit unsure about what to do next. Should I keep using the SU MAG dressing even though the boil is open, or should I stop? Or maybe switch to Betadine dressing? Is it better to go back to the surgeon for further drainage? I'd really appreciate any advice you could give!
- I'm a 26 year old guy living in Mumbai. I used to have a fair complexion, but after years of sun exposure and not really taking care of my skin, my face, hands, and neck have become visibly darker. If I stay indoors for a few days, my skin lightens up a bit, but I can't really do that since I have to work. My body's skin is quite fair, and with my wedding coming up soon, I want to get back to my old skin tone on my face and hands. Can you suggest any daily home remedies or maybe pills like glutathione for this? How safe is it to take glutathione? Are there any side effects, and how likely are they to happen? Also, if I start using it, would the skin tone change be long lasting, or would I have to keep taking the pills to maintain it?
- I've been using Betnovate N for about 7 8 years, but whenever I stop, I get these rashes, redness, and itching on my face. I've seen a skin specialist who first gave me Momisoft cream and Uvrid NF sunscreen, along with some tablets for 10 days. That seemed to help, then he switched me to Lutica and the same sunscreen for another 15 days, and it was working well.
When I was in Rajasthan, he gave me Desolim cream and the sunscreen, and my skin was fine there. But now I've moved to Guwahati where it's more humid, and the rashes and redness are back. I saw a specialist here and he prescribed Eumosone and other tablets like CFM 500mg, Candimore, Mantrayx, and Lpredace 8mg, but they don't seem to be helping either. The itching and redness are still there, and I'm really desperate to fix this. What should I do to finally get rid of these skin issues?
- I've always had these dark patches on both sides of my scrotum, but the one on the left is bigger. I thought maybe it was because of sweat since I usually sleep on my left side. Recently, though, I've not been bathing as regularly, and with the summer heat, I've been sweating a lot around my groin area. Now those dark patches have spread to my thighs and maybe under the scrotum too, and they're itching really badly. Could this be jock itch? When I wash it, the skin looks a bit red, but it's mostly dark and has a different texture. I've got a couple of concerns. Can tinea cruris get this bad so suddenly? Like, I didnt have any itching a few days ago, and now its spreading super fast. And what about those dark patches from before? Were they just because of sweat, or was it something else? How long do you think it will take to heal if I use over the counter clotrimazole?
- I'm noticing some white patches on my fingers and I've had them for a couple of months now. They don't seem to be spreading, which is a bit of a relief, but its still worrying me. After visiting a doctor, he told me it's vitiligo, but I'm not completely convinced. He prescribed some medications like Viterma capsules, Dermadew cream, Tacmod forte, Melanocyl ointment, Placentrex gel, and HHSONE cream. I've attached a few pictures for reference. Does this sound like vitiligo to you, and do you think these meds can actually help with it?
