- I'm really worried because I've been having this fever that just won't go away. I had it originally on February 10th, took some medicine, and felt okay, but then it came back on the 19th, and even after seeing a doctor and taking the prescribed meds, the fever's still hovering around 100F or 101F. I even had some tests done like the Typhidot Igm and blood cultures which came back negative, and my CBC was normal, but the fever didn't stop. I was put on TaximO and Calpol 500, which seemed to help for a bit, but after three days, the fever returned. Now, with my regular doctor unavailable, I switched to another one who ran more tests like the thyroid panel and CRP, and turned out the CRP is positive. They also found my bilirubin to be a bit high and ALT levels at 79. The new doctor's prescribed Dolo 650 and Pantocid, and I'm noticing that the fever goes down after taking paracetamol, but it just comes back after a few hours. What's going on with me? Is there something serious causing the fever to keep coming back?
- I'm dealing with this recurring infection caused by Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, and it keeps showing up every couple of months since it first appeared in January 2019. I've had it in various placeslike my knee, finger, chin, nose, and scrotum. Even after seeing multiple doctors and taking antibiotics like Linezolid and Clarithromycin, the infection just popped up again on my right scrotum, and every time it brings on a fever. I've even had surgery for a carbuncle on my knee under anesthesia. The pus and blood cultures both came back positive for Staph A, but my nasal swab results were negative both times, and blood cultures were too. I'm really struggling to figure out why this keeps happening and would appreciate any guidance on how to stop these infections from coming back. What could be causing this, and is there anything specific I should be doing to prevent it?
- I'm feeling a bit worried about my health right now. After having a fever, I tested positive for Covid on November 19th and started with medication from a govt doctor. A few days later, I consulted a private doctor who suggested a CHET Test HRTC, and I've just received the results. It says there are multi focal small ground glass opacities in my lungs, predominantly on the sides and back. The CORADS is 6 and the CT severity score is 52.
Im currently on a few medications Asthakind DX, Dexona 0.5mg, Scavista 12mg, Esoga cap, Immugard, Calpol 650mg, and doing mobilization with Budecort 1mg. I'm just not sure if my report is good or if the meds are doing their job. I've started to experience chest pain and weakness. My current SPO2 is 98, pulse rate is 85, and my temperature is 98.6. Could you advise on my health and how my report looks?
- I'm really concerned about my recent test results and hoping you can help me make sense of them. I got a 1g Jilazo injection back in May when my ferritin was 14 ngml, total iron was 80 mcgdL, TIBC was 339 mcgdL, and Hb was 9.7 gdL. I've got beta thalassemia trait and was told to take Folvite and Quicobal 1500 mcg. When I got tested again in August, my Hb dropped to 9.3, TIBC was 242 mcgdL when it normally should be between 265 and 297, total iron was down to 70 mcgdL, and ferritin had jumped to 280 ngmL, way higher than the normal 13 to 150 ngdL range. I'm worried if the high ferritin and low TIBC are because of the Jilazo injection, and I'm trying to understand why my Hb and iron levels have decreased. Does high ferritin mean something bad, and should I be concerned since I also have Acidic GERD and Grade A Esophagitis? Would love your thoughts.
- I'm dealing with this condition called ITP, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, and it's been about a month now. Initially, I had treatment with single donor platelets, 3 units, but they didn't work for me. After that, the doctor gave me 5 units of IV immunoglobulins, which brought my platelet count up to 80,000. But now, it's fallen back to 28,000. I'm really worried about this drop. Can you explain why this might be happening and what other treatments or steps I should consider?
- I've noticed that after just a couple of drinks, my eyes get really red, I get a headache, feel nauseous, and my stomach feels extremely tight and full. I'm also having trouble breathing, and my heartbeat gets really fast. This has been happening for about a month, even though I stopped drinking alcohol. I've tried to have a drink a couple of times since then, but the same problem occurs. This never happened before, and I've been drinking for years. I got a body check up two months ago, and everything was normal. What could be going on with me, and should I be concerned?
- I've had this cold and cough for about two weeks, and even though I've been taking medication from my general physician, I can't shake off this constant coughing sensation near my throat. It feels like something's always there, and when I cough, only a small amount comes up. It's been like this for three weeks. I tried cough syrup zinda talismath but it's not really helping. It's not super annoying, but it's definitely taking a toll on me. For the last two years, my cold and cough patterns changed. My nose doesnt get blocked anymore, but it all comes out from my mouth. I get a cold every 3 4 months, especially after having anything cold. Do you think turning to homeopathy might offer a long term solution? I'd appreciate any advice or direction. I'm generally healthy, weigh 96 kilos, eat well, and don't drink or smoke. There's a family history of cold and cough, especially on my dads side. Any suggestions?
- I've been dealing with a lot of strange symptoms lately and I'm getting really worried about whether this might be omicron. So it all started with a sore throat a couple of weeks ago, which went away with medicine, but then I got a dry cough right after. The cough stopped, but since then, I've had this crazy muscle pain all over my body. I switched doctors and did a CBC test; the results showed my WBC and platelets were a bit high. The new doctor gave me amoxicillin, pacimol, and zecal active. The body pain faded, but now I have a cold and a lot of wet coughing. I skipped pacimol once, and that muscle pain is back with a vengeance. I haven't done a test yet because my exams are coming up and I'm always on the move in Mumbai local trains, although I wear a double mask and I'm fully vaccinated. Still, could this be omicron? Should I just take something like limcee, steam, or pcm at home? What steps should I follow to get better?
- I'm really worried because I've been dealing with stomach problems for the last two months, like cramps, abdominal pain, weird motions, mild fever, red eyes, and headaches. I first saw one gastro doctor who thought it was an infection and gave me some medications like Zifi, Satrogyl, and Nizonide. He wanted me to do a bunch of tests like colonoscopy, endoscopy, biopsy, CT scans, and blood tests. I went to another senior gastro in Noida, and he said it's IBS and no need for all those tests. But then after his 10 day course, the issues came back, and he also blamed another infection. Now, it's been about 20 days since my stomach has been better, and I'm taking Menoctyl, Enzar Forte, and Vizylac. What's really bothering me is that I've lost 8 9 kg of weight despite eating enough lately, and my weight isn't going up. Is this normal? Should I stick with the same gastro since I'm finally feeling some relief? The weight loss is freaking me out a bit.
- I recently got my test results for Vitamin D, calcium, and B12. The results showed Calcium at 9.46 mgdL, Vitamin B12 at 436 pgmL, Vitamin D2 at 1.02 ngmL, Vitamin D3 at 17.9 ngmL, and overall Vitamin D at 18.92 ngmL. I realize my Vitamin B12 is on the lower side and Vitamin D is actually deficient. My previous doctor had recommended Shelcal, one tablet for 30 days, and Uprise, one tablet every week for 34 weeks, but I didn't end up taking them. Should I start taking them now? Is that dosage correct? Should I be taking these tablets at night after meals? Also, do you think I should take something for B12 for a few days to improve my levels?
- I'm a bit worried because my recent blood test showed that I have mild eosinophilia, and my monocytes count is right at the upper limits. Here are some more details: Neutrophils are at 47, lymphocytes are 33, eosinophils are 9, monocytes are 10, and basophils are 1. The absolute counts are 4400 for neutrophils, 3000 for lymphocytes, 900 for eosinophils, and 1000 for monocytes. Also, my platelet count is 269,000. Could you help me understand what this might mean for my health? Should I be concerned about these levels?
- I've been working in a pharmaceutical industry for 29 years, and recently, due to my morning shifts, I'm only getting about 5 6 hours of sleep. Last night, out of nowhere, I fainted. It all started with feeling lightheaded, stiff, and shaky, my eyes even rolled up, and I was sweating a lot. I called my husband just before I lost consciousness, and I don't remember anything for a few seconds. He kind of shook me, and everything felt like it was spinning. After a bit, I got stable and then ended up puking everything out. This whole thing has me really worried. Could this be something serious?
- I'm really worried about my wife who's got dengue. Her platelet count was initially at 52,000, but then it dropped to 18,000, which led us to get her admitted and she had a platelet transfusion. Since then, her platelet counts have been creeping upfirst 28,000, then 36,000, and now it's at 47,000. I'm confused because I thought after a transfusion, her platelets would increase more quickly. Is this normal or should I be concerned about how slowly they're going up?
