- I'm using Jiaobi whitening cream, and I've noticed my skin's getting clearer and my dark spots are fading. But I'm wondering, is this cream actually safe for long term use? Could there be any side effects I should be worried about? And is there any risk it might cause skin cancer? Just trying to make sure it's okay to keep using it. The ingredients listed are stearic acid glyceride, barley, cress, bone wood, chamomile, Vitamins A, D, E, aloe vera, and enzyme.
- I've been really worried because my hair has started falling out a lot again and my crown line is receding. It all kicked off about two years ago, and even though I've been to different doctors, nothing seems to stick. Last year, in August, a doctor in Mumbai prescribed me a bunch of stuff: Capsule hair fix advance 1mg, Finax 1mg tablets, spray Grocapix, lotion Adroanagen, and Foliglo shampoo. After using these for a month, there was improvement, but now the hair fall is back. What should I do next?
- I've been having some skin issues, and I'm starting to get worried. I went for a medical test in Saudi Arabia, and it came back showing TPHAVDRL reactive. After that, I consulted a dermatologist in Hyderabad, and they did a biopsy to confirm the results, which were still reactive. They recommended penicillin injections, which I took, and then did a retest 8 weeks later. But, the test is still showing reactive. I'm not sure if this diagnosis is accurate or if it's something that can actually be cured. Besides this, I've had some non itchy, painless rashes on my skin since around 2009. They appeared when I traveled to the USA. I've shown them to a doctor there, but I'm still concerned. Could there be something I'm missing or should be doing differently?
- I've been dealing with the early stages of frontal male pattern baldness, and my dermatologist suggested a few treatments like Finpecia tablets, Keraglo men, F Clin shampoo, and Minopep solution. I've started with the first three and have complemented them with a nutrient rich diet including sea cod liver oil, eggs, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, and green tea. Thankfully, I've started seeing improvements, like less hair fall and thicker hair. But I'm feeling a bit anxious about using Minopep solution. I've heard that once you start using minoxidil products, you have to keep using them indefinitely. Is that really the case? And does sticking to a good diet really make a difference for hair health?
- I've got these really stubborn dark circles under my eyes, and they're not going away. Also, my upper lip is super dark, and my lip line is nearly black. I'm wondering if I might have melasma because there's noticeable pigmentation all over my facelike on my nose, around my mouth, eyelids, under my eyes, the sides of my cheeks, and my temples. Then there are these leftover dark spots from past acne, and new ones still popping up with ongoing acne, but I can kind of manage the acne when I stick to the right diet. The pigmentation is what's really bugging me though. I'm trying to avoid any advanced treatments, but I'm open to medication and following a routine. Right now, I just cleanse, tone, use eye cream, serum, both day and night creams, and sunscreen. Yet, it doesn't seem to be helping much, even though I'm consistently applying sunscreen. What would you suggest I do?
- I'm Shivam Gupta and I'm having a bit of a struggle with a recurring fungal infection. Last year around March or April, I first noticed red spots on my thigh that looked like a fungal infection. I talked to a doctor who suggested using Lobet GM Cream, and it went away after using it, but then the spots and itching came back. After two months, I consulted another doctor who recommended Candiforce 200 Tablets, FM 24 Tablets, and Serta Cream, and I used the cream for a year. Everything seemed fine, but now the fungal infection is back, and it's showing up on different parts of my body like my thighs, hands, stomach, and sometimes my head. I've also had carom seeds in my stomach and have taken medicine for that, but the fungal infection keeps coming back. What steps can I take to finally get rid of these infections?
- I've been using elocon cream for a couple of months just on my chin, and now out of nowhere, I've got like 100 pimples all over my chin and jawline, and it's spreading across my lower face. I gave retin a a shot, but it actually made the acne worse. I also tried some antibiotic pills, but they didn't help. Now, I'm using fusidin cream 2 antibiotics, still no luck. It's been over 10 days and things aren't getting better. I just started using acutret, hoping it'll help. Could this breakout be a side effect of the elocon cream? If so, how long might it last, and what can I do to improve the situation?
- Doc, I'm 37 and dealing with oily skin that has pits. I've got my acne under control now, thankfully. I've been applying vitamin C serum for about 21 months, and it's helped a lot with the pits. For nine months now, I've also been using Retino A 0.05 as an anti aging treatment, and it's been going pretty smoothlyno irritation, redness, or peeling.
Here's my routine:
Morning: face wash, Cetaphil, vitamin C serum, and then sunscreen.
Night: Plum aloe vera face wash, pea sized Retino A 0.05, Olay serum, and ending with Sebamed Q10 cream.
So, could you tell me if my routine's good as is, or if I should change or add anything else? How safe is it to use tretinoin for extended periods? And I'm looking for a good sunscreen recommendation that works for oily skin. Appreciate your insight!
- I've been dealing with hair fall for around 4 years now. A dermatologist suggested I use minoxidil, first in 2%, then 5%. Initially, I wasn't told that I'd need to use it for a lifetime. My hair fall stopped, and I got some growth back, but a year ago, a friend mentioned that minoxidil could have side effects with long term use. So, I stopped it, and my hair fall came back worse than before. My hair, especially in the front and on the crown, got really thin. I've started using minoxidil 5% again. Is there a chance my hair can grow back? Is it okay to stop and then start using minoxidil again? Are there any long term side effects of using minoxidil for an extended period? Can I safely keep using minoxidil 5%?
- I'm really worried because I've been dealing with balanitis, specifically candida balanitis, for a while now. About a month ago, my doctor said that's what it is, but I've noticed that whenever my penis gets hard, it turns red, and that's been happening for over six months. I've used surfaz cream and some antibiotics my urologist suggested, which seemed to clear up the infection. But then after seeing a dermatologist for the infection scars, he gave me desonide cream. When I masturbated two weeks later, the red spots came back. I went back to the dermatologist, and now I'm using onabet sd lotion, a fluconazole tablet, and a tablet called dazit. I just want to know how to completely get rid of this condition. I'm also concerned if the redness when my penis is hard is due to the infection. My sugar level is 119, so I don't have diabetes, and I'm 25. What should I do?
- I'm a 20 year old guy and I've been dealing with hair thinning for about 10 months now. My hair used to be super thick, dense, and even wavy at 11 inches long. It started thinning at the whorl and spread in a whirpool direction across the top, front, and the sides. In the last 3 months, I've noticed noticeable thinning at my crown and the back of my head too. I did get a buzz cut 5 months ago, and my temples have receded just a bit, maybe a centimeter. My scalp was super dry and tight a while ago but that seems to be back to normal now. I've always had dandruff, those small white flakes, mostly during the winters. Looking at my family history, both grandfathers had no hair loss until the end. My dads at a Norwood 2, two uncles are bald, probably due to diabetes, and one has a full head of hair. On my moms side, two uncles are bald and two have no hair loss. I'm concerned because I've lost a lot of hair density in these 10 months, it's probably half what I had before. Any advice on whats happening or what I should do? I've got some photos attached if that helps.
- I've noticed that my skin is getting darker every day, and I'm not sure why. My skin is naturally dry, and I have a lot of dark spots, blemishes, and dark circles. Whenever I'm out in the sun, my skin turns red and then gets even darker. I used to have a Wheaties complexion about two years ago, but recently, my skin has been darkening, even though I get 7 8 hours of sleep and I don't smoke or drink. I'm not outside that much, and when I do go out, I always apply sunscreen. Lately, I've also noticed my neck is getting darker along with the rest of my body, which used to be lighter. Could you help me figure out what's going on and what I might be able to do about it?
- I've been dealing with really high IGE levels, around 472, and the antihistamines I've tried only help a bit with my allergy symptoms, but they don't seem to get rid of them completely. I got an allergy test done and found out I'm allergic to dust mites, tomato, egg, fish, ginger, and a bunch of other things. I do my best to avoid these, but I've also got eczema on a few fingers, which started after using a rubber padded mouse too much. It's super stubborn and won't go away. Recently, I've noticed my eyes get really red and itchy, especially over the past couple of weeks, making it hard to see at night while driving. Do you think homeopathy might help with any of this?
- I'm really struggling with this persistent urticaria issue I've had for a few years. I'm allergic to foods like spices, brinjal, Rajma, Urad dal, guava, oats, curd, namkeen, and too much sugar or jaggery. I've seen all the local doctors, but the problem comes back once I stop their treatments. My AEC test showed a count of 1000 when it should be under 250. I've taken a lot of antihistamines, but they mess up my digestion. Within minutes, I get weird patterns on my skin that vanish after 15 20 minutes. Can you please help me understand what's happening or suggest what I should do next?
