- So, I caught this bad cold and sore throat a few days ago after traveling, probably because of the weather change. I seem to always get hit with a cold when the weather shifts. I started taking Joshanda Hamdards a couple of times a day since it's helped me in the past. But my cough wasn't getting better, so I switched to Ambrolite D and cetzip cetrizine. While the cough improved, the throat pain didn't, so I swapped Cetzip for Montek LC, which I've used before and heard is better. Now Im 3 days into these meds, with 2 days on Cetzip and 1 on Montek LC, Ambrolite D for a day, and Joshanda for about 2 days. My coughs better, but my throat pain's still there and might even be a bit worse; at least there's no fever. I'm wondering if I should take something else for the throat pain or if I should just keep going with what Im taking and for how long?
- I've been dealing with some sinus issues since I got the Covishield shot about a week ago, and it's got me worried. You see, I've had this sinus pain, there's a lot of white and yellow mucus, and it sometimes hurts around my upper jaw and between my eyes. Oddly, the pain seems to ease up in the morning but gets worse after eating. There are times when I have headaches on either side of my head, just above the ears, and my nose gets blocked too. I've tried steam inhalation with Karvol capsules, and while it helps for a bit, it doesn't last. I'm also using Otrivin for daily nasal wash, but the relief's so short lived. I met an ENT specialist a couple of months ago for a precautionary checkup about mucormycosis because of my worries, but my KOH test came back negative, and I don't have diabetes. But they did find four nasal polyps through endoscopy. I'm curious to know if the vaccine could be causing these sinus issues or if it's related to something else?
- I've been dealing with pain in my lower jaw near my ear, and my neck for about five months now, and Im getting really worried. I first saw an ENT a few months ago, and he didn't find any infections in my sinus or ear. My dentist mentioned a few issues, and I got those treatments done, but he still thinks it could be a tooth fracture, and also suggested checking for TMJD or Eagle Syndrome. Meanwhile, my general physician thinks it might be trigeminal neuralgia. My symptoms include a constant burning pain in the lower jaw under the ear with mild swelling on the right side, ear pain, and a clogged feeling with a small lump on the side of my neck. An ultrasound didn't reveal any abnormalities, but there's ringing and a soft humming sound in my ear, especially when I lie down with the AC or fan on. My ear feels completely clogged at times, and theres sore pain on one spot on the top of my head above the ear, plus a constant feeling of something being stuck in my throat, and my neck feels tight and stiff. This all started back in May when I was chewing a lot. I'm thinking of going back to the ENT; do you think they could help diagnose if this is some kind of neuralgia or nerve issue? It's been a really tough time, and I'd love some advice on what to do next.
- I'm really worried about this ongoing issue I've been having. It all started with just one nostril being stuffy, and I thought it was just a regular flu or runny nose, so I didn't pay much attention and took some over the counter meds. But here I am, 9 months later, and it's still not better. Now I've got these headaches around my forehead and the back of my head, and the mucus drainage smells really badnot like the usual kind. Plus, every time I try to clear my nose, I feel this pressure in my ears, which even causes me to cough. I haven't seen a doctor yet, but from what I've looked up, I'm suspecting it's some kind of sinus infection. What should I do?
- I've been dealing with a high fever since yesterday, alongside a really bad headache, cold, cough, and weakness. I went to the pharmacy and picked up Cepodem 200, AcenextP, and MontewokLC. After taking them, I felt super cold and started shaking, but then I got warm and sweaty after sleeping, which made me feel better. It's been about 8 hours since I took them this morning, and now it seems like my fever might be coming back. Should I keep taking what I bought?
- I've been dealing with Vertigo for about 2 years now, and it's really getting to me. Back in 2012, I had a bad accident but was told there were no major issues, just some muscle spasms. But then around June 2015, I started feeling off balance when driving. I saw a cardiologist, and he said I have MVP but didnt think it was anything seriousjust gave me Starpress XL 25 mg. My blood tests all came back okay except my sugar was borderline, and my BP was fine too. An endocrinologist ruled out any sugar or BP issues. Finally, an ENT said it's Vertigo. My right ear often feels full and occasionally hurts. Things were okay for the last few months, but now, within the past 10 days, the imbalance is back. Im on Vertin 16 mg and Stematil MD, but what else can I do? This is super frustrating. Any ideas on how to handle this?
- I've been dealing with this tinnitus for about 9 10 months now. The first doctor I saw said my left ear looked a bit dull and gave me a decongestant, but that didn't really help. Then another ENT mentioned something about my ear being retracted or RTM. Since then, I've seen multiple doctors and have been on multivitamins and ginkgo. I've got a few questions though. Can RTM stick around for nearly a year, and if it does, could this be the reason for ear pain when I gently use earbuds? Also, when I do the Valsalva maneuver in the morning, I sometimes feel something watery in my ear. This only happens the first time when I wake up. Besides taking all these meds, are there other ways to deal with it? It's hard to sleep with this constant noise, kinda like the sound an old TV makes, and it's there all the time, fluctuating like a stream. Is using warm oil in my ear a good idea? Could an infection be causing all this? I'm really stressed out by all this.
- I've quit smoking about 40 days ago, and in the beginning, I had a lot of ENT pain, stomach issues, a really bad cough, and it felt heavy when I breathed. Things have gotten a bit better, but I'm still having throat pain, some swelling behind my ear, heaviness in my chest, and it hurts when I swallow, plus there's ear pain too. Are these normal withdrawal symptoms, or could it be something else I should worry about?
- I've been dealing with something really weird and it's got me a bit concerned. So, a few times now, I've coughed up this big, white, cheese like chunk that smells terrible. I had to vomit a few times to get it out, and it's left me with some congestion in my throat. It was massive, white, and I'm not sure if it's coming from my stomach or somewhere in my throat. I haven't had any cheese or paneer recently, so I'm puzzled. There's no pain, fever, or anything like that, but I'm unsure if it could be a tonsil stone, though it was really big. Any ideas on what's happening here?
- I've been dealing with a lot of earwax in my right ear, and after seeing a doctor, they gave me ear drops for 10 days specifically for that ear. In September, they used micro suction to clear it out, which was fine at first, but now I notice this constant 'teeee' tinnitus sound in my right ear. It was really faint at first, but now, in late October, it's become a lot more noticeable, especially when I'm in a quiet place or trying to sleep. I'm worriedis this something that will go away on its own, or could it be due to some kind of injury from the procedure? Also, should I be taking any specific medicine to help with this? Its only happening in the ear where the wax was removed, and I didnt have this issue right after the procedure. What do you think?
- Hey, I've been having this weird jaw pain right at the hinge, and I think it's a bit swollen, but only on the left side. I just had some dental work done on that side because of a cavity, and now it hurts to open my mouth wide. This all started last night, but for about five days before that, I'd wake up with a sore throat, a runny nose, and mucus. Strangely, during the day, I feel fine, but at night it all comes back until morning. There's also this occasional ringing noise in my left ear, like a beep, and it's around 814kHz or something. It's more obvious when I cover or muffle my ear. Any idea what's going on?
- So, I had a tympanoplasty type 1 ear surgery back on May 10, 2018, and my doctor removed some gel forms on June 5, but mentioned there's still a bit left on my eardrum. They can't clear it yet 'cause the doc's on leave, and advised me to use otocin o ear drops, four drops daily, until then. My worry is, when I put the ear drops in before bed, they don't seem to drain properly. Even after sleeping for 7 to 8 hours, the drops just come out when I wake up. Is it okay for the medicine to stay in my ear for that long, or should I be worried about how they're not draining? How long are ear drops typically supposed to stay in the ear anyway?
- I'm really concerned about my almost 6 year old daughter. She's been struggling with a constant cough and cold, and she was doing well for a while on montair lc and some sprays, but now with the weather changes over the last few months, she's caught a cold multiple times and needed antibiotics almost every month. We've been using seroflo and otrivin sprays regularly, but she still has blocked nose and snores at night. Her weight is normal, and she's active otherwise, but our doctor mentioned her adenoids are at grade 4 and suggested surgery. We did a CT scan too. I'm aware she might improve once the weather gets better, but I'm worried about keeping her from catching more colds and infections until then. Should I consider surgery, or is it okay to wait? I've tried homeopathy for a few weeks, but there's no improvement, and it gives her stomach pains. Im really hoping to avoid the surgery route. Is there a chance her adenoids might shrink on their own, or is surgery the only way forward? Any advice would be really appreciated.
- I'm dealing with something that's been bugging me and could really use some advice. I was diagnosed with minor PCOD back in July 2015. My periods were delayed back then, but they eventually started happening naturally without any medication. To be on the safe side, I went ahead with PCOD treatment, and that's when my anxiety kicked in, which I find a bit confusing. So, after about three months, my ultrasound reports came back normal, and my PCOD seems to be cured. But there's this one thingmy periods are now really scanty, only bleeding for about a day. I used to bleed for around 3 days before all this started. Some people tell me it's all in my head, probably because of high stress and my anxiety disorder. It's confusing because I feel like PCOD might be the root cause of my anxiety, but now that it's supposedly cured, I'm wondering why my periods aren't normal. Any thoughts on what's going on with me?
- I've been dealing with erectile dysfunction and went to see a doctor about it. He recommended I get tests for testosterone, vitamin B12, prolactin, and FSH. My results came back, showing testosterone at 2 ngml, vitamin B12 at 182 pgml, FSH at 2.99 mIUml, and prolactin at 7.21 ngml. I'm scheduled to see him on Thursday, but I'm feeling really anxious and worried. Is a testosterone level of 2 ngml considered critically low when the normal range is 2.8 to 8? I'm a 29 year old male, 178 cm tall, and weigh 95 kg. I used to smoke. Can you give me any advice on this?
